What use the Discovery Pico for:

Tattoo Removal

Discovery Pico laser gently removes unwanted tattoos while preserving your skin’s natural look.

Scar Revision

Using Discovery Pico laser, we rejuvenate the skin and minimize the appearance of scars.

Pigment Correction

Discovery Pico laser helps restore clear, even-toned skin by reducing dark spots and discoloration.

Acne

Discovery Pico laser helps clear active acne and reduce the appearance of acne scars.

How and Why it Works

Our Discovery Pico has an ultrashort picosecond setting.  Picoseconds are one-trillionth of a second.  Unlike most lasers that use heat and energy, the pico setting uses just energy to vibrate and break pigment (ink or brown spots, like sunspots, “age spots”, etc.)  into the smallest particles possible.  These tiny “dust” particles will then be easily elimated by the body’s immune system naturally.

Heat is not your friend when it comes to ink, as it can more or less “boils” the ink.  It is also not your friend when it comes to melasma, as heat can flare the condition.

Our Discovery Pico machine also has a qswitch setting.  A qswitch setting works in one-billionth second pulses.  In cases like scarring and wrinkles, the energy from the qswitch mildly heats up the skin while it “damages” the dermis to help create collagen, which in turn fills in scars and evens the skin surface.

We Use The Deka Motus For:

Painless Laser Hair Removal

We use the Deka Motus laser to deliver long-lasting hair reduction, offering a painless and effective solution for all skin types.

How and Why it Works

The Deka Motus is a laser hair removal device that primarily uses Moveo Technology and Alexandrite and Nd:YAG lasers to achieve efficient, safe, and virtually painless hair removal.

Here’s how and why it works effectively:

  1.   Dual-Wavelength Technology

    • It combines 755nm Alexandrite (effective for lighter skin tones and finer hair) and 1064nm Nd:YAG (safer for darker skin tones and thicker hair).

  2.   Moveo Technology (Pain-Free & Efficient Energy Delivery)

    • Unlike traditional laser hair removal, which uses single, high-energy pulses, Moveo uses low-energy pulses in rapid succession.

    • The handpiece is moved repeatedly over the treatment area in a sweeping motion, gradually heating the follicle to a damaging temperature. This prevents sudden, painful bursts and reduces the risk of burns while improving effectiveness. The laser slowly heats the hair follicles to the point where they are damaged enough to stop regrowth.

  3.   Contact Cooling for Comfort

    • The handpiece has an integrated sapphire tip that provides constant cooling, making treatments virtually painless compared to older laser technologies. Due to cooling tip, the handpiece is able to glide across the skin. Keeping the handpiece in contact with the skin minimizes energy reflection from the surface. See video below.

We Use The Evo Light For:

Vascular Lesions "spider veins"

We use the EVO Light laser to safely target and fade visible veins for clearer, healthier-looking skin.

Laser Hair Removal

We use advanced laser technology to provide smooth, long-lasting hair reduction for all skin types.

Rosacea

We use specialized laser treatments to reduce redness and calm sensitive, irritated skin.

Pigment Correction "brown spots"

We use targeted laser treatment to fade brown spots and even out skin tone.

How and Why it Works

Evo Light uses a unique system that combines multiple wavelengths of light with precise temperature control. This allows the laser to target specific skin concerns while minimizing discomfort and downtime.

The system offers up to four laser wavelengths.  The following are the man-made stones the light beam goes through to create a laser.  “nm” stands for nanometers, which is how deep the laser penetrates the beam.

  • Alexandrite 755 nm: Targets and heats up melanin to the point of damaging the hair follicle so it can no longer produce hair.  For benign pigmented lesions, the pigment is targeted by the laser and broken into small pieces. .

  • Nd:YAG 1064 nm: Heats up blood to the point of evaporation– vascular treatments (spider veins and red spots)

  • Nd:YAG 532 nm: Targets and breaks superficial vascular lesions and pigmented lesions (spider veins, red spots, and brown spots closer to the surface).

We Use The IPL Attachment For

Acne

We use the IPL attachment to reduce acne breakouts and calm inflammation for clearer skin.

Rosacea

IPL treatment helps soothe inflammation and minimize facial redness for a healthier-looking complexion.

Pigment Correction "brown spots"

Using the IPL attachment, we target brown spots to restore a clearer, more even complexion.

How and Why it Works

The Twain IPL is an add-on handpiece to the EVO Light and/or the Discovery Pico.

The Twain IPL (intense pulse light) uses pulses of broad-spectrum light.  Traditional lasers are straight-on 180° pathways, while an IPL uses scattered light.  The targets (reds, browns, and acne causing bacteria) absorb the light which turns into heat.  The heat then damages the target while leaving surrounding tissue unharmed.

Your technician will decide if the IPL treatment is best for you or if the pico or qswitch laser from the EVO Light or the Discovery Pico is best for you.  Both forms are highly effective, however factors to consider are skin type, depth and size of area being treated.

We Use The Skinwave For:

Hydrafacials

We use the Skinwave system to deeply cleanse, hydrate, and revitalize your skin for a fresh, radiant glow.
