HA Dermal Fillers

As we age, collagen, elasting, and hyaluronic acid decrease, leading to volume loss, fine lines, and sagging.  HA fillers replinish that lost hydration and structure, helping you look refreshed — not overdone.

What are HA Dermal Fillers?

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body that attracts and binds to moisture.  When strategically injected, HA fillers:

  • Add volume to lips and cheeks
  • Smooth smile lines (nasolabial folds)
  • Soften marionette lines
  • Help skin stretch, flex, and reduce some of the deeper wrinkles and lines
  • Resore under-eye volume (when appropriate)

Results are immediate, with continued improvement as minor swelling resolves.

Noteworthy Points

for HA Dermal Fillers

How long do dermal fillers last?

You can typically repeat hyaluronic acid dermal fillers every 6–18 months, depending on the area treated, the specific product used, and how quickly your body metabolizes it. Some areas like lips may need touch‑ups sooner, while structural areas like cheeks or jawline often last longer before needing maintenance treatment.

What if I don't like the result?

They are fully reversible, meaning they can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if adjustments are needed.

Is the procedure painful?

Most people describe HA dermal fillers as mildly uncomfortable rather than truly painful, thanks to the use of topical numbing cream and the built‑in lidocaine found in many fillers. You may feel brief pressure, stinging, or a pinch during injection, but the sensation is typically very tolerable and fades quickly.

Yes—when performed by trained medical professionals. Common, mild effects: swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness. Rare but serious risks: vascular occlusion, infection, nodules, or tissue necrosis.

How do HA Fillers work?

Most HA fillers last 6–18 months, depending on the product, area treated, and individual metabolism.

  • Cheeks/jawline: up to 24 months

  • Lips: typically 6–9 months

Is getting HA dermal filler painful?

Most patients report:

  • A quick pinch from the needle or cannula

  • A pressure or fullness sensation as the filler is placed

Pain is usually low to moderate, depending on the area.

Some areas hurt more than others --
